According to a report, former Wild forward and Minnesota native Jordan Schroeder has signed a deal in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
Brynäs IF confirmed that they had signed Schroeder, who will break his contract with SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of the NL.
Schroeder, 33, played two years at the University of Minnesota before he turned pro. He was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2009 Draft but after only recording six goals and nine points in 56 games across two seasons in Vancouver, Schroeder moved on to Minnesota.
He spent three seasons in Minnesota where he recorded 11 goals and 16 points in 88 games. Schroeder played a year with the Columbus Blue Jackets before he went overseas to play. He has bounced around from the KHL to the NL and now to the SHL.
