    Here is part 1 of the Minnesota Wild's Quarter-Century team.

    ST. PAUL - With 2025 in full swing, the NHL is celebrating the best of the past 25 years by revealing Quarter-Century teams for each of the league's teams. The Minnesota Wild were on Tuesday. 

    The first team included forwards Marian Gaborik, Kirill Kaprizov, and Mikko Koivu, defensemen Jonas Brodin and Jared Spurgeon, and goaltender Niklas Backstrom.

    Gaborik is the Wild's all-time leader in goals with 219 in 502 games played. Kaprizov is all ready fourth all-time in just 312 games with 183 goals. 

    Koivu is the Wild's all-time games played leader with 1,028 games played. He is also the Wild's all-time leader in assists with 504 and points with 709.

    Spurgeon is the Wild's all-time minutes played leader and is second all-time in games played behind Koivu with 899. He and Brodin have played every NHL game in their careers with the Wild. Brodin has played in 834 games in his career. 

    Backstrom is the Wild's leader in many goaltending stats. He is first in wins with 194, games played at 409, shutouts with 28, and saves with 10,321. He went 194-142-50 with the Wild in his career with a 2.48 goals-against average (GAA) and a .915 save percentage (SV%).

    In his first season with the Wild in 2006-07, Backstrom went 23-8-6 with 1.97 GAA and a .929 SV%. He and Manny Fernandez won the William M. Jennings Trophy that year.

    Which is an annual award given to the goalkeeper(s) with the fewest goals scored against it. Winners are selected based on regular-season play.
