In the Wild's game last night, Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek tied a franchise record.

ST. PAUL - So many records were broken last night after the Wild turned a 5-2 game in which they were losing into a 10-7 win. One record is worth being talked about.
Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek both recorded three goals and six points in last night's game which was the first time since 1993 when Wayne Gretzky and Tomas Sandstrom did it with the Los Angeles Kings. Gretzky had two goals and four assists in that game and Sandstrom had six assists.
With just a little over one minute left in the game, Jonas Brodin caught a pass from Eriksson Ek and scored an empty net goal from the defensive zone. Eriksson Ek's assist was his sixth point of the night which tied a Wild franchise record for most points in a single game.
Marián Gáborík had the original record when he recorded two goals and four assists in a game against the Arizona Coyotes in 2002 but he did it again when he had five goals and one assist in 2007 against the New York Rangers.
With two seconds left in the game, Kaprizov got a loose puck along the boards and sent it down the length of the ice from the red line, into the empty net for his third goal of the game and sixth point of the night which had him join Eriksson Ek and Gáborík for the franchise record.
