The Wild have announced today that they have activated Jared Spurgeon from Long-Term Injured Reserve and assigned Daemon Hunt to Iowa.

Minnesota's captain hasn't played a game since October 5th, when he suffered an upper-body injury in a preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Wild took Spurgeon on the road trip in hopes of playing him in one of the three games. After beating the New York Islanders and losing to the New York Rangers, it appears Spurgeon will make his season debut tonight in Buffalo.

Hunt, 21, has played in five NHL games this season and has looked very good. He will return back to Iowa where he played four games to start the season before he was called up to Minnesota.
