Filip Chytil expressed his gratitude for the Rangers organization as he moves on to his next chapter with the Canucks.

Filip Chytil was in for a shock as he was traded from the New York Rangers to the Vancouver Canucks.

After playing eight years for the Rangers, Chytil was emotional about leaving the organization he joined as a teenager, yet he’s loved every second in Vancouver thus far.

The 25-year-old forward expressed all of those emotions in his latest Instagram post.

“I would like to thank everyone in the New York Rangers organization, especially my teammates, staff members, and the fans for support throughout the last seven years,” Chytil wrote. “There are a lot of great memories which I will keep with me for the rest of my life. But, now I am enjoying every single minute in Vancouver and can’t describe how happy I am to be part of the Canucks organization!”

A large part of Chytil’s tenure with the Rangers was plagued by injuries. However, he showed flashes of brilliance, impressing everyone with his lightning speed and silky offensive touch.

Off the ice, Chytil’s kind-hearted personality touched everyone around the organization as he was always happy even with all of the struggles he’s had to go through throughout his career.

The Canucks have both a talented player and a good person on their hands.
