New York, N.Y: The two beasts of the east scored a combined 11 goals as the New York Rangers won a 7-4 barn burner. With the win, the Rangers tied the Bruins for first place in the NHL, with a 15-3-1 record.

The Ranger's fourth line was put to the task of shutting down the Bruins's top line. They responded by completing their assignment and scoring a few goals. Jimmy Vesey recorded a goal and an assist, Tyler Pitlick scored his first goal as a Ranger, and Barclay Goodrow had a helper.

In the last number of games, the Rangers grinders have clicked, Jimmy Vesey stating, "It's nice to get some rhythm, get some chemistry, and the goals are starting to fall for us and that helps with confidence for all of us. Lavvy has a lot of faith in us."

He was proud of their response, "He told us before the game... It's a big challenge, you gotta be sharp to go up against that line. It forces you to be in the game... today was one of our better ones."

Bruins stars David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand were held to a single goal.

Following the game, Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette stated, "I thought that they were terrific, I was going to leave it more to the zone by zone or leave it to the d-zone. As the game went on they did such a good job of controlling the play that we pushed it."

K'Andre Miller sees more to be conquered despite the Ranger's unstoppable first quarter, "I think we all know that so we have a really good team, but I think we can just build off of this. I just don't think we've played our best hockey yet which is kind of scary and fun to say."

The Rangers room believes there is more in their tank and better hockey to be played. If that is the case, the sky is the limit.
