The newest Ottawa Senator, 18-year-old right shot defenseman Logan Hensler out of the University of Wisconsin, is clearly a well-liked teammate. After being drafted 23rd overall by the Ottawa Senators on Friday night, Hensler was asked to describe himself.
"Off the ice, I'm very laid back, very easy to know, and get along with everyone," Hensler told TSN 1200.
That was evident on Friday night, as his friends and teammates got together at a sports bar to watch the draft in support of their friend. Their excited reaction was posted on the Badgers' X account when Ottawa comedian Tom Green made the announcement.
That's a strong indicator that, whenever Hensler gets to Ottawa and the NHL, "Henny" will probably fit in nicely with an already high-character Senators locker room.
