The Match-up: Ottawa Senators (33-36-4) at Minnesota Wild (35-29-9), 8pm Eastern, TSN5, RDS2
The Senators will go for their sixth win in a row, which is no small thing, especially if you believe in harbingers. They haven't won six hockey games in a row since 2017, which was the last year they made the playoffs.
The Sens will still be in good shape tonight if it's tied after regulation since the Wild likes to play overtime without a goalie. On two occasions last month, the Wild have pulled their goalie to go 4 on 3 in the extra frame. It worked the first time, helping earn the Wild an extra point. But they gave it right back on the weekend, getting scored upon, and surrendered the loser point they'd earned.
The Wild will skip over the Filip Gustavsson-versus-his-old-team storyline and give the net to ageless Marc-Andre Fleury. Fleury turns 40 in November and is the oldest goalie in the league by two years. Joonas Korpisalo will make his fifth start in six games.
