The Flyers took down the Bruins in a 4-3 shootout thriller on Friday.

Four preseason games down, two to go.

After falling to the New York Islanders in overtime Saturday night, the Philadelphia Flyers will play their penultimate game of the preseason Monday night against the Boston Bruins at Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers and Bruins also met Friday night at TD Garden with the Flyers earning a 4-3 victory in the shootout.

With just two preseason games to play, the Flyers' opening-night roster is beginning to take shape. The roster now sits at 31 players as the club continues to gradually thin the herd. Many of the longshot roster candidates have been returned to their junior clubs or Lehigh Valley while older players have been released from their professional tryouts.

Now is when jobs are won and lost, and for many of the Flyers' training camp attendees, Monday night could be their last chance at proving they deserve an NHL roster spot to start the season.

Here's everything to know about the Flyers' preseason tilt against the Bruins.

    How to watch

    When: 7 p.m. ET
    Where: Wells Fargo Center
    Radio: 97.5 The Fanatic

    Roster

Forwards: Wade Allison, Cam Atkinson, Bobby Brink, Noah Cates, Sean Couturier, Joel Farabee, Tyson Foerster, Morgan Frost, Travis Konecny, Scott Laughton, Ryan Poehling, Owen Tippett

Defensemen: Ronnie Attard, Adam Ginning, Rasmus Ristolainen, Travis Sanheim, Egor Zamula, Cam York

    Goalies: Sam Ersson, Cal Petersen

    What to watch for

    1. Bobby Brink is suiting up for his third game in four nights. Flyers head coach John Tortorella told the media Monday morning that Brink is "in the conversation" for a roster spot after logging three points and a highlight-reel shootout goal between Friday and Saturday night's contests. Tyson Foerster, who will also be in the lineup against Boston, is battling to earn a spot as well. Originally the favorite to make the leap to the NHL out of training camp after posting seven points in eight games with the Flyers last season, Foerster starting the season with the Flyers may not be a guarantee after all.

    2. Defenseman Cam York will be in the lineup for the first time since the Flyers' preseason opener. York was day-to-day for much of the last week, but will be good to go when puck drops at Wells Fargo Center.

    3. The backup goalie battle continues. Felix Sandstrom has the night off, but Sam Ersson will be in net with hopes of becoming the Flyers' full-time No. 2 goalie behind Carter Hart. According to Tortorella, Ersson will play all three periods of Monday night's tilt. Cal Petersen, who stood out against the Bruins last week, will serve as Ersson's backup.
