Sidney Crosby hasn't scored in ten games. Is there any concern for the Pittsburgh Penguins and their captain's lengthy scoring drought?
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby hasn't scored since Nov. 23, 2024, when he lit the lamp for his 600th career goal.
Crosby's goalless streak is now at ten games, which, according to Stathead by Hockey Reference, is just the sixth time in his Hall of Fame career that he's gone ten or more games without a goal.
If Crosby doesn't find the back of the net on Thursday against the Nashville Predators, it will be only the third time in his career that his goalless streak reached 11 games.
Interestingly, he went 11 games last season without scoring a goal but still collected his third 40-goal campaign in 20 seasons, finishing the year with 432 lamplighters.
Thus far in 2024-25, Crosby has started slower, with only eight goals, unlike last year when he had 19, through 33 games. However, with 31 points, he remains the Penguins' top scorer.
