The Seattle Forward Talks About What Fans & Media DON'T Get To See
The "Room": "The locker room is great. That's all you can ask for as a player. You guys only see us on the ice and in the locker room. But away from the rink, it's fun to hang out with those guys, spend a lot of time and get to know them and their families.
"We did a team-building thing at the start of the year. With COVID, I don't think we got the chance to do that (before the 2021-22 season).
"We have a lot of characters in our room, and we all balance each other out Everybody gets along, and everyone knows how to push everybody's buttons. I have nothing but good things to say about every guy in that room.

"It's fun to go to battle with those guys. I think you saw that come playoff time, when our lives are on the line and we came together as a whole. It just speaks to the group and how it was built."
Hockey Town: "Ebbs (Jordan Eberle) has said it multiple times, he wants to make (Seattle) a hockey city, and I think we're well on our way, if not there already.
"We'd been to Seahawks games, Mariners games, when they're in the playoffs. The way they showed up for us last year, even with our record, we knew it was going to be crazy. I wouldn't say they're as mean as they are in Kent*, but I also play for Seattle now."
*Editor's Note: Morgan's joking. He played in the major junior Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans, rival of the Kent-based Seattle Thunderbirds.
The T-birds captured the WHL crown on May 19, beating the Winnipeg Ice, 4 games to 1. Geekie's younger brother Coner, an Arizona Coyotes' 2022 1st round draft pick, played this season for Winnipeg.
How Would Morgan Have Been Greeted Back At ShoWare Center, Home Of The T-Birds?: "I know how rowdy the fans are there. I don't know if I'd be that well accepted, knowing I played for Tri-City."
