If you told the Seattle Kraken that there's an invisible barrier in front of the goal they're shooting at, they might start to believe you.
Through nine games, only twice has Seattle scored more than two goals. Not coincidentally, those were the pair of games they've won in a 2-5-2 start.
The Kraken are 28th in goals-for per game (2.22). For the most part, the effort is still there, the chances are still being generated, but the results haven't.
While the Kraken are hoping to get well offensively, no one in the NHL mistakes the ice at Amalie Arena for the healing waters of Lourdes. The only miracles performed there are by the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been to three of the past four Stanley Cup Finals, winning two.
