    ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Blues will open the 2023-24 season on Oct. 12 on the road against the Dallas Stars.

    The Blues, who missed the playoffs last season for the first time since the 2017-18 season when they finished 37-38-7, will host the Seattle Kraken in their home opener at Enterprise Center on Oct. 14.

    The Blues will play their Central Division foes 26 times, including four games each against the Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes and Stars and three each against the Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets. The remainder of the schedule features 24 games against the Pacific Division and 32 against Eastern Conference opponents.

    Some of the schedule highlights include:

    * Hosting the Predators the day after Thanksgiving at 2 p.m.

    * The Blues will host the Blackhawks (Dec. 23), Stars (Dec. 27) and Avalanche (Dec. 29) during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.

    * The Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights will visit St. Louis twice this season, on Dec. 6 and March 25.

    * The Blues' home schedule includes 11 Saturday dates.

    * The longest road trip is five games against Eastern Conference opponents (Philadelphia Flyers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers and Boston Bruins.

    * The longest homestand will be four games, with four separate homestands to account for them (Nov. 3-9, Jan. 9-15, Feb. 15-22 and March 13-19). 

    * The Blues have two sets of home-and-home games against Vegas (Dec. 4-6) and Washington Capitals (Jan. 18-20).

    * The Blues are scheduled for 10 afternoon games (five home, five away). Home dates include Nov. 24 vs. Nashville, Jan. 28 vs. the Los Angeles Kings (1 p.m.), Feb. 17 vs. the Predators (4 p.m.), February 19 vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs (12 p.m.) and April 14 vs. the Kraken (12 p.m.).
