Forward will look to get Blues back on track to begin five-game homestand, had two assists against Maple Leafs Oct. 24 in 5-1 win

ST. LOUIS -- Yes, it's been documented that Jordan Kyrou made a mistake late in Thursday's 2-1 loss against the Philadelphia Flyers that led to the game-winning goal with the game tied 1-1.

But turning the page two days later, Kyrou and the Blues (5-6-0), who host the Toronto Maple Leafs (6-4-1) and former coach Craig Berube, will look to end a three-game losing streak against the last team they beat.

In the 5-1 Blues win on Oct. 24, Kyrou had two assists and has generated a lot of scoring opportunities for himself, including nine shot attempts the last game.

No, he hasn't scored in 10 straight games, but as long as Kyrou is generating chances, pucks are bound to go in.

"I like the fact that he's shooting pucks," Blues coach Drew Bannister said. "I think that's something we need to see more from our team. Eventually, one inch one way or the other, that puck goes in the net. I think Jordan has the right mentality that shooting pucks is the way to get himself out of this. I don't think overpassing and over-thinking things. It goes back to simplifying your game and using the tools that you've been given and where you can have success."

Kyrou has nine points (two goals, seven assists) in 11 career games against Toronto and needs to get the ball rolling among the Blues' top players to get out of their scoring funk.
