This former Lightning forward is finding success with his new club.

During this past off-season, former Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jonathan Marchessault signed a five-year, $27.5 million contract with the Nashville Predators. This was after his impressive seven-year stint with the Vegas Golden Knights. This included scoring a career-high 42 goals and posting 69 points in 82 games last season.

Much like the Predators as a team, Marchessault had a tough start to the season. In his first 28 games, he had just 14 points, below expectations for the 5-foot-9 winger. However, he has undoubtedly picked up as the season has carried on. In fact, he has been on a real heater as of late.

Marchessault has gotten on the scoresheet in 10 out of his last 11 games, posting 12 points over that span. In addition, the former Bolt has 10 goals and 25 points over his previous 20 contests. Clearly, he is starting to adjust beautifully to his new team.

With this hot stretch of play, Marchessault now has 15 goals and 38 points in 48 games this season. In 47 games over two seasons as a Bolt, Marchessault had eight goals and 19 points.
