After being shutout by the Lightning on October 24th, the Canes won five of their next six games. That is, until they lost 5-2 to the Florida Panthers on Friday night.
They’re performing slightly better than they were two weeks ago and those five wins brought the Canes up to second place in the Metropolitan Division.
The Lightning are coming off a 5-3 loss to Chicago on Thursday that they weren't happy with. They'll have to work to get the offense going. Defensively, the Canes have been solid at limiting scoring chances, allowing just 24.34 per 60 minutes, making them the third best in the NHL.
Overall it's should be a good matchup. The Bolts are looking to sort out some of their recent struggles. They'll need three full periods of consistent hockey. If Kucherov hits his stride again, look out.
