The Olympics may be getting all the hype and attention right now, but when someone's birthday happens, we have to recognize it.
Especially when it's two of your biggest stars on a young team.
You already know about Liam O'Brien; the forward celebrates his 30th birthday today, just a few months after he became a dad for the first time.
Oh, and he also is going nowhere because he signed a three-year extension that keeps him with Utah for the foreseeable future.
But one forward that is in the possible running for the captaincy of the club also celebrates his 26th birthday today, and that would be Clayton Keller.
Coming off a 30-goal season, Keller is set to make a huge impact on the ice for Utah this year, with the return of possible linemates Nick Schmaltz and Barrett Hayton alongside him.
The bottom six will also be buoyed by O'Brien, who will have former Florida Panther Kevin Stenlund, fresh off his Stanley Cup championship, alongside him and the other forwards in that department.
You add in the new faces of Mikhail Sergachev, John Marino, and Ian Cole, there's no reason why you can't celebrate these two stars' birthdays the right way today.
So, go ahead, Utah, let's pop some Martinelli's and raise a glass to these two stalwarts.
