With the 77th overall pick in the third round, the Golden Knights drafted Mathieu Cataford from Halifax Mooseheads from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old forward is a 5-foot-11, who scored 31 goals and had 44 assists in 68 regular-season games with the Mooseheads. He was also a part of the gold-medal winning team in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The Hockey News Draft Preview described Cataford as a “Character kid plays bigger than his frame and drives the hard areas. Hockey sense, board-work, and a heavy stick are pros; lightness and average skating cons.”

Then with the 96th pick in the third round, the Golden Knights selected Arttu Kärki from Tappara U20 team in the Finnish Premier Junior Men’s Hockey League. The 6-foot-2 defenseman is 18-years old and scored 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 36 games with Tappara.

With the 192nd overall pick in the sixth round, Vegas drafted Tuomas Uronen from Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna i Helsingfors (HIFK U20) of the Finnish Premier Junior Men’s Hockey League. Uronen is 18-years-old and stands at 6-feet. He scored 43 points (20 goals, 23 assists) in 39 games with HIFK U20 and also represented Finland at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The Golden Knights then traded their seventh-round pick to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a 2024 NHL Entry Draft seventh-round pick.
