20-year old goaltender signs three-year, entry-level contract with Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights announced they have signed goaltender Carl Lindbom to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.
Lindbom was drafted by the Golden Knights in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and played last season with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden’s HockeyAllsvenskan. He was named Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year after posting a 1.86 goals-against average and seven shutouts in 36 games.
The 20-year-old has represented Sweden at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Canada. Lindbom had a 2.64 goals-against average and .914 save percentage with two shutouts in seven games, helping his team to a 4-3 record. He also won a bronze medal at the World Junior Championship in 2022.
