The Capitals brought in two new coaches to round out their staff behind the bench. Here's everything to know.

ARLINGTON, V.A. -- Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery has rounded out his new staff, as the team named Kirk Muller as an assistant coach and Kenny McCudden as an assistant/skills coach.

Muller will work with the power play and forwards and replace Blaine Forsythe, who left the organization after 17 years and is now with the Arizona Coyotes. McCudden will serve an assistant and skills coach.

The 57-year-old comes from the Calgary Flames organization and has 17 years of NHL coaching experience. His teams have qualified for the playoffs nine times nad have ranked in the top 10 in power-play percentage seven times.

It's also a great pickup for the Capitals, as Muller has experience working with Dylan Strome and Anthony Mantha while serving as an assistant coach for Team Canada at the IIHF World Championships. With Mantha looking to regain confidence and find his game, a familiar face will work wonders.

Meanwhile, McCudden spent the last eight seasons as an assistant with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Before that, he spent 16 seasons with the AHL's Chicago Wolves as the skating and skills coach, helping them to the Calder Cup in 2008. He's also experienced when it comes to working with prospects, having worked at several development camps over the course of his career. McCudden was also the skating and skills coach for the U.S. National Team from 2011-14.

Muller and McCudden join assistants Scott Allen and Mitch Love, goaltending coach Scott Murray and video coaches Emily Engel-Natzke and Brett Leonhardt on Carbery's staff.

Washington also promoted Zack Leddon to head strength coach and named Mike Wagner as an assistant coach.
