All roads led back to Hershey for Aaron Ness, a former member of the Washington Capitals who now dons the "C" down with the AHL's Hershey Bears.
Ness, who started his career with the New York Islanders, eventually signed a deal with the Capitals organization. He spent three years with the organization, picking up three assists in 18 NHL games and solidifying his game down with Hershey before hitting free agency in 2019. There, he chose to try out hockey in the Desert and signed with the Arizona Coyotes.
After his tenure with Arizona, which included time with the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners, along with the COVID-19 pandemic, Ness' journey continued as he earned a spot on the U.S. National Team for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. There, he was one of the alternate captains for the Americans.
Eventually, he found his way back to the Bears and has since won back-to-back Calder Cups with Hershey and feeling at home once again.
He joined That's DC Hockey's latest episode to discuss his pro journey, getting to represent his country on the biggest international stage, what the hockey scene was like in Arizona before the organization went to Utah, Hunter Shepard's hair, if the Bears actually go to Hersheypark and much more.
