The Washington Capitals are in the thick of the NHL offseason, but that's not the case for several hockey players in the DMV.
If you're reading this, like me, you're in the midst of your spring/summer league for your adult hockey league. Or let's call it what it is: Beer League.
It gave me and my co-writer and teammate, goaltender Kevin Bartechko, a thought: what if we chronicle our beer-league adventures here every week and also hear some stories/tales from beer leaguers from across the DMV and beyond using the community section of our site?
We all have the best locker room and the best post-game parking lot hangouts. We've all gotten in the occasional scuffle, highlight-reel goal (mine below takes the cake) or wicked save... or we all have that one teammate who's just their own story.
