ARLINGTON, V.A. -- The Washington Capitals are reuniting with 2016 sixth-round pick Chase Priskie, signing him to a one-year, two-way contract.
Priskie's deal will pay $775,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 at the AHL level.
The 27-year-old was originally drafted by Washington in the sixth round of the 2016 NHL Draft (No. 177).
The Capitals never signed Priskie, and after four stellar years at Quinnipiac University and becoming a Hobey Baker Finalist in 2019, he informed the organization he would become a free agent.

Much to Washington's disappointment, he then signed an entry-level deal with the Carolina Hurricanes and has since played for them, the Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks organizations.
In 58 games with the AHL's San Diego Gulls and Rochester Americans last season, he had 11 goals and 11 assists, with 13 of those points coming in the final 16 games of the season with the Gulls.
Priskie has appeared in four NHL games, where he has posted a plus-minus rating of plus-2. He made his NHL debut in 2021-22 with the Panthers.
It's a major plus and addition to the team's defensive depth, as it gives the team another right-handed defenseman to have in the system. He joins Vincent Iorio in that regard.
Priskie has shown that he can contribute offensively and move the puck well while also shutting down things at his own end. The 6-foot, 185-pound blueliner is also a strong skater and has added a lot to his game over the last few seasons. He will make a major impact in Hershey and could even earn a call-up if he keeps building on his skill set.
