After a key win over the New Jersey Devils that saw their offense break out, the Washington Capitals are looking to carry over that momentum against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Washington remains six points out of playoff position, while Tampa is also trying to gain some traction while remaining in the first Wild Card spot.

Here’s what to know before puck drop at Amalie Arena at 7 p.m. ET.

    Washington Capitals Line Combinations

The Capitals will see tweaks to their lines, as they will be without the services of Nic Dowd for at least the next two games due to injury.

Aliaksei Protas will fill his role at center, and Nicolas Aube-Kubel will draw back in after a couple of healthy scratches. Call-up Pierrick Dubé will sit out as the extra forward but is expected to make his NHL debut soon.

Charlie Lindgren will get the start against the Lightning.

Here are the projected line combinations:

    Alex Ovechkin-Dylan Strome-T.J. Oshie

    Anthony Mantha-Connor McMichael-Tom Wilson

    Max Pacioretty-Mike Sgarbossa-Sonny Milano

    Trevor van Riemsdyk-John Carlson

    Rasmus Sandin-Nick Jensen

    Joel Edmundson-Ethan Bear

    Charlie Lindgren

    Darcy Kuemper

    - Nicklas Backstrom remains on indefinite leave due to his hip not responding as he'd hoped following hip resurfacing surgery.

    Washington Capitals Storylines
