Samberg has been out for over a month with a foot injury but it has finally healed and he's completed the return process. He completed his individual work before joining the team in practice with a non-contact jersey and then participating with contact. He's cleared each step and is ready to make his highly anticipated return.

Unfortunately for the Jets, one defenseman returning means another is possibly injured. Morrissey exited in the second period after he crashed into the post and did not return for the third frame.

Immediately following the game the 29-year-old was labeled day-to-day but Arniel said he’s feeling better, may practice tomorrow and hasn’t been ruled out for Friday’s game.

The Jets will be hoping Morrissey doesn't miss any time as he has been vital to their success this season. He leads the team in ice time, quarterbacks their top power play unit and has recorded five goals and 38 points in 42 games.

The Jets take on the Los Angeles Kings, a tough Pacific Division opponent and will need all hands on deck to come out with the two points.
