The Winnipeg Jets have acquired defenceman Luke Schenn from Pittsburgh in exchange for two draft picks.

Schenn, who was previously traded to Pittsburgh from Nashville less than 24 hours prior, will add some much-needed defensive depth on Winnipeg's blueline.

The return for Pittsburgh is a 2026 second round pick and a 2027 fourth round selection.

Schenn is a shut-down, veteran defender who will be able to slot in behind Josh Morrissey, Dylan DeMelo, Neal Pionk and Dylan Samberg.

The Jets will now have depth including Schenn, Colin Miller, Logan Stanley, Haydn Fleury, Ville Heinola and Dylan Coghlan on the back-end, should injury arise.
