The first day of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection has come to an end, and now we look forward to Day 2 where rounds four to fifteen of the draft will be completed.
62 players heard their names called in the first three rounds, and we will hear a lot more called today. Day two of the draft tends to run a lot quicker than day one, as there is less pressure on management with each pick.
Some notable players didn't here their names called in the first three rounds, and here are some names to watch out for as possible "steals" or "diamonds in the rough" on day two:
Alex Hage (Vaughan Kings)
Zach Nyman (Vaughan Kings) * committed to Penticton in the BCHL *
Jacob Xu (Toronto Jr Canadiens)
Javian Nei (Toronto Jr Canadiens)
Michael D'Alessio (Vaughan Kings)
Jaxon Cover (York Simcoe Express)
Jackson Halloran (York Simcoe Express)
Kayden Brand (Toronto Marlboros)
Kale Mace (Peterborough Petes)
Matthew Ross (Oakville Rangers)
Day two will be loads of fun to watch, with lots of players who will still hear their name called.
To all players, whether you hear your name called or not, the hard work starts now. It's all about what you do after the draft and you will get noticed if you put in the work.
