Michael Misa cemented his status as a premier 2025 NHL Draft prospect after a record-breaking season with the Saginaw Spirit. In 2024–25, the 17-year-old center led the OHL with 134 points (62 goals, 72 assists) in 65 games, earning the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy. His 62 goals tied Patrick Kane’s mark for the most by a draft-eligible player since 2000, placing him among elite company with Sidney Crosby and Connor Bedard.
Misa’s efforts earned him multiple accolades, including the Red Tilson Trophy (OHL MVP) and the Bobby Smith Trophy (Scholastic Player of the Year). He also became Saginaw’s 26th captain and led the team to its first Memorial Cup title, following a strong playoff run to the Western Conference Final.
Across three OHL seasons, Misa has totaled 265 points in 177 games. His combination of elite scoring, leadership, and consistency has made him one of the most coveted players heading into the 2025 draft.
