    Madison goaltender Caleb Heil, Muskegon forward Jack Galanek and Sioux City defenseman Jake Delaney were named the USHL Players of the Week on Monday

    The USHL announced its Players of the Week on Monday as Muskegon forward Jack Galanek, Sioux City defenseman Jake Delaney and Madison goaltender Caleb Heil took home the respective honors for games played between Jan. 20-26, 2025. It’s the first honor of the season for all three.

    Heil, who has long been considered one of the top goalies from the 2006 birth year, finished the weekend with a 2-0-0 record, .953 save percentage and 1.00 GAA, as the Victoria, Minn. product made 43 of a possible 45 saves – including his first USHL shutout.

    Heil went a perfect 24-for-24 on Friday in a 4-0 win over Waterloo and followed it up with another 19 saves on Saturday, as Madison skated to a 3-2 overtime win in Chicago.

    The North Dakota commit is 12-5-0-1 this season with an .891 save percentage and 2.88 GAA, as he’s made 409 of a possible 459 saves. However, he’s won four of his past five starts and Madison remains fourth in the Eastern Conference.

    As for Galanek, the left-shot forward as Muskegon swept a home-and-home with the NTDP – winning 7-3 on Friday and earning a 8-1 road win on Saturday.

    Galanek had five points (2-3-5) on Friday and scored again on Saturday – finishing the weekend with 10 shots and a plus-3 rating. The UMass commit has a career-high 13 goals and 30 points through 36 games for the Jacks, along with a plus-13 rating.

    Rounding out the group is Delaney, who had three points (2-1-3) and finished the weekend a plus-5. The Miami commit has 11 points (4-7-11) and a plus-15 rating through 31 games.

    Delaney scored Sioux City’s sixth goal on Friday and also had a pair of assists as the Musketeers earned a 7-3 win over Omaha. Sioux City completed the weekend sweep on Saturday with a 4-1 win over Des Moines, and the Musketeers have a nine-game point streak (7-0-1-1).
