A look at some of the big winners from this year's WHL trade deadline.

The WHL trade deadline has come and gone, with plenty of big deals and player movement across the league. This year, teams got an early jump on the trades, with some of the most significant moves coming before the calendar flipped to 2024. Here is a look at some of the biggest winners from the trade deadline season.
Saskatoon Blades
The Saskatoon Blades loaded up in a big way ahead of a potential run to the Memorial Cup. Whether it was depth moves in acquiring Grayden Siepmann, John Babcock and Rhett Melnyk or swinging for the fences with Fraser Minten and Alexander Suzdalev, Blades general manager Colin Priestner did everything he possibly could to make this team a contender. The rich definitely got richer as Saskatoon heads into the postseason looking for their first Ed Chynoweth Cup in franchise history.
Moose Jaw Warriors
Just like Saskatoon, the Moose Jaw Warriors added some firepower ahead of the WHL trade deadline. They acquired three NHL prospects in Kalem Parker, Vojtech Port and Matthew Savoie while also adding depth pieces that could play crucial roles come playoff time. General manager Jason Ripplinger did a great job shaping this team, making them one of the most dangerous in the entire CHL.
Wenatchee Wild
After a strong start to the season, the Wenatchee Wild decided the best move forward was to sell their assets and rebuild for the future. Trading Armstrong, Savoie and Conor Geekie, general manager Bliss Littler acquired 13 draft picks along with three players that can help the Wild this season and in the future. The future is bright in Wenatchee as they look to qualify for the postseason in their first season since relocating from Winnipeg.
Regina Pats
Another team that did a great job rebuilding for the future was the Regina Pats. General manager Alan Millar pulled off three big moves on New Year's Eve, which netted the historic franchise six draft picks as well as some young defencemen who should play crucial roles for the franchise in the future. Based on these moves, it should not be long before Regina is back in the playoffs and once again fighting for the East Division crown.
