We’ve seen U.S. markets flounder, even with great potential populations and initial excitement. Although Denver, Detroit, Chicago, and others appear to have potential for success, there has to be concern about appropriate arenas and support in the long term.
Canadian markets have sold out consistently and have had more staying power. Are the better numbers enough to convince the PWHL to lean on this strength, or is the push to gain traction in the U.S. so important that they want to risk another semi-successful franchise? The choice could be transformative.
