The balance of hockey and family was never a true consideration in the NHL. In the PWHL however, the discussion is neither taboo, nor uncommon. The children of PWHL players are often seen interacting with teams, and unlike NHL players where the main interaction fans see with kids are cute through-the-glass photo ops, in the PWHL, involvement of children is far more common.
