Abby Hustler and Anna Segedi were two of the most dynamic players in NCAA hockey last season playing for St. Lawrence University.

Over the last four seasons, no player has scored more for St. Lawrence than Minnesota's second round pick, the 14th overall selection in the 2025 PWHL Draft, Abby Hustler. Hustler led St. Lawrence in scoring three of the last four seasons, including last year finishing four points ahead of Julia Gosling, the 6th overall pick in the 2024 PWHL Draft.

Hustler finished sixth all-time in St. Lawrence scoring ahead of players like Gosling, Hannah Miller, Kennedy Marchment, and only two points behind Toronto Sceptres GM Gina Kingsbury.

She's joined by Anna Segedi, another top forward over the last four seasons who combines unique speed and puckhandling ability. The duo who know each other well will be re-united in Minnesota.

"Having Abby Hustler also go to the Frost is so awesome. We hung out before the draft and all that, and are just super supportive of one another so really excited," said Segedi, who was selected in the third round, 22nd overall by Minnesota.

"We've been friends ever since she came to St. Lawrence," said Segedi. "We played together for the last couple of years. She's a really special player. And yeah, I'm just really looking forward to continuing working with her. And maybe we can live together, or something like that."

"She's super skilled. She sees the ice so well, moves the puck really well," Segedi continued of Hustler. "Sometimes I'm like wide open. I don't even think she sees me, and somehow she gets the puck to me. So I'm really looking forward to getting to play with her again."

Hustler will be the first player from Prince Edward Island to play in the PWHL, while Segedi hails from Michigan. Segedi also took a unique path to the PWHL splitting her NCAA career with a season in China playing for KRS Shenzhen before representing China at the 2022 Olympics, and helping China earn promotion twice at the World Championships in 2022 and 2023.

This season she was St. Lawrence's captain, and brings her own unique talents to Minnesota with a game that mimics the speed of Kendall Coyne Schofield.

The duo are set to reunite as the top two forward selected by the Frost and top six roles on the line next season with the back-to-back reigning Walter Cup champions.
