The Toronto Sceptres, despite finding themselves facing elimination down 2-1 against the Minnesota Frost, remain positive, and happy with how they've played to date.
"We're focused on finding a way to win game four, we've been very happy with many of our periods that we've played, we think as a group we're playing the right way," said head coach Troy Ryan.
Ryan says, despite allowing 12 goals in the last two games, the focus is not on what went wrong, but rather on finding a way to win game four and bring the series back to Toronto for a deciding game five.
"I actually think the team is in a pretty good spot...I think we've been really happy with the way we've played in a lot of periods in this series," said defender Renata Fast. We've had buy in from our entire group and we've put together a 60 minute game for some of the games, so I think there's a lot to fall back on and be confident for."
Fast and the Sceptres won the opening game of the 2025 PWHL playoffs before dropping the next two to Minnesota. Last season the Sceptres fell in game five to Minnesota who went on to win the inaugural Walter Cup.
After last year's loss, and the situation Toronto finds themselves in, it could be easy to feel the pressure. According to Fast however, her team feels confident and comfortable.
"I honestly think the team is in a pretty good head space," added Fast.
Game four is scheduled for May 14 at 8pm EST.
