Krug joins the team after serving as head coach of Adrian College

The Bakersfield Condors have hired Adam Krug as an assistant coach, the team announced Thursday.

Krug, a native of Livonia, Mich., joins the Condors after spending the past ten years as head coach of Adrian College (NCAA D-III). Over his time with the Bulldogs, Krug posted a 229-52-14 record, as well as being named NCAA III Coach of the Year in 2021-22.

While he won overall coach of the year only once, Krug was named NCHA Coach of the Year six times throughout his tenure with the Bulldogs.

Prior to getting into coaching, Krug enjoyed a five-year professional playing career that saw him make stops in the CHL, SPHL, ECHL, the Netherlands and Romania.

After playing in one game during the 2012-13 season, Krug retired and joined the Indiana Ice (USHL) as an assistant coach. After spending two seasons in that role, Krug joined the Bulldogs as head coach where he continued in his role before being hired by the Condors.

As Krug makes the jump to coaching professionally for the first time, he has the experience that should allow him to make a seamless transition. The Bulldogs were very successful during Krug's time as head coach and he should be a great mentor for the Condors.
