Co-recipient of the 2023-24 Harry “Hap” Holmes Memorial Award goalie Clay Stevenson of the Hershey Bears has been called up to the Washington Capitals.

The call-up was needed as Logan Thompson took a shot off his mask against the Kraken on Wednesday and has been put on the shelf with an upper-body injury.

Stevenson is expected to back up Charlie Lindgren, starting with Detroit on Thursday.

Stevenson holds an 11-8-3 record with a save percentage of .912 and a GAA of 2.57 in 24 AHL games before his recall.
