Brown has appeared in 12 games for the Condors this season

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenseman Josh Brown from the Bakersfield Condors, it was announced Sunday.

Brown, who signed a three-year deal with the Oilers this offseason, began the year with the Condors where he has collected two assists in 12 games.

Drafted by the Florida Panthers in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Brown has appeared in 290 NHL regular season games across parts of seven seasons with the Panthers, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins and the Arizona Coyotes. In that span, he has scored 11 goals and added 23 assists for 34 points,

With Darnell Nurse likely out for the foreseeable future, Brown joins the team for his first stint since signing. Although not known for his offensive game, Brown can hold his own in the defensive end and will likely play in a depth role for the Oilers.
