Beckman was acquired by the Devils in June

The New Jersey Devils have signed forward Adam Beckman to a one-year, two-way deal, the team announced Monday.

The deal will see Beckman make $775,000 at the NHL level and $125,000 at the AHL level.

Drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the third round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Beckman split this past year between Minnesota and Iowa. In 11 games with Minnesota, he collected two assists. With Iowa, Beckman had 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points in 51 regular season games.

Besides a nine-game pro stint with Iowa in 2020-21, Beckman turned pro full-time in the 2021-22 season. Prior to that, Beckman played with the Spokane Chiefs (WHL) where he had 97 goals and 99 assists for 196 points in 153 career regular season games.

Acquired by the Devils in June in exchange for Graeme Clarke, Beckman will most likely start the season with the Utica Comets. While he has seen NHL games every season since turning pro, Beckman could have a tough time securing a full-time spot with the Devils in 2024-25.
