The Ontario Reign have signed forward Keaton Mastrodonato to a one-year deal, it was announced earlier this week.
Mastrodonato, who hails from Powell River, B.C., split time last season between the Colorado Eagles and the ECHL's Utah Grizzlies. While he went pointless in 13 AHL games, Mastrodonato scored 19 goals and added 30 assists for 49 points in 53 ECHL games.
Prior to making the jump to the pro game at the end of the 2022-23 season, Mastrodonato spent four seasons in the NCAA with Canisius, collecting 46 goals and 97 points in 123 career games.
As Mastrodonato heads off to California, he will look to make it into the AHL full time for the first time in his short pro career. Having already proven to be a top-six forward in the ECHL, Mastrodonato could get a look for a depth role on the Reign in 2025-26.
