Drafted in the third round of the 2014 NHL Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Friedman has split time between the NHL and AHL this season. In two games with Vancouver, he has been held pointless but has collected four points in eight games with Abbotsford. With Friedman being recalled by the Canucks, he could have the chance to play a depth role for the team. He has proven he can contribute when called upon and is more than capable of handling his own defensively.
