Tyler Toffoli should find the back of the net with the Habs covering the puck line among other best bets in part two of the 7 P.M. games Thursday night

Thursday offers an exciting slate of NHL action starting at 7 P.M. with several matchups worth keeping an eye on for both hockey enthusiasts and sports bettors alike. Some of the showstoppers will be the Rangers reigniting their Original Six rivalry against the Habs, the Kings travel to the Garden State to take on the Devils and the Kraken look to avoid being washed away as they take on a tough Bruins team that has the league’s best record at home dating back to last season.

It should be an exciting night of hockey and if you want to get in on all the action, here's a breakdown of the matchups with some insights for potential betting opportunities in part two of the 7 P.M. games.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Please gamble responsibly.

Seattle Kraken @ Boston Bruins

The Kraken were on fire going into Christmas with an 11-0-2 record from mid-December till mid-January. Unfortunately, their offense had fallen off a cliff and has earned them a 4-7-1 record in their following 12 games. People had thought they finally turned things around again but they’ve struggled to score and help breakout star Joey Daccord on the backend.

The Kraken have only managed to beat the Bruins once in their franchise history with a decisive 3-0 win at the Garden. The Bruins have also let their home ice advantage spoil with losses in four of their last five home games. The Kraken should respond and at least cover the puck line in a low-scoring affair.

Pick: Kraken +1.5 (-160), Bruins under 2.5 goals (+155)

Montreal Canadiens @ New York Rangers

The 640th meeting between these two should bring intrigue with their last six games being split with the Rangers due up for a win yet the Habs have won their last two games in the Big Apple.

It’ll be a close one with the Habs starting to turn things around with their offense finally hitting its stride since mid-January with a 3.09 goals per game average during that span that is tied with the Blues, Canucks and Rangers. The Habs have regularly played better away from their own building with a 11-9-5 road record that outperforms their 11-14-3 record at the Bell Centre. They will be counted out in this one but should keep it within one.

Pick: Canadiens +1.5 (-120)

Los Angeles Kings @ New Jersey Devils

A rematch of the 2012 Stanley Cup final that was a close six game series and these two have remained competitive in their bouts with both teams winning six of their last 12 matchups. It’ll be a great opportunity for the Kings to bounce back as they’ve won just five of their last 20 games.

A Devils forward who has turned it on when playing against the Kings is Tyler Toffoli. The Stanley Cup Champion with the Kings has scored frequently as of late with goals in three of his last four games against the team that drafted him 47th overall in 2010. He should find the back of the net playing with Jack Hughes and shooting on David Rittich, who just gave up five goals to the Sabres.

Pick: Tyler Toffoli anytime goal (+200)
