As has become tradition at the annual CHL gathering of champions, the host team has unveiled a special military-themed sweater. And the Remparts entry for 2015 does not disappoint – check it out here.
It has become a neat tradition at the Memorial Cup: each year, the host team trots out a special jersey inspired by Canada's military history. With Quebec in charge of the festivities in 2015, the Remparts followed suit and have released their pretty cool entry:
These jerseys will be worn against Kelowna in the tournament opener Friday, then auctioned off, with the money going to Quebec military veterans. Inspired by the National War Memorial, the crest features soldiers from the three Canadian military branches. The sweaters also throw back to the original uniforms worn by the Remparts at Le Colisee. This year's tournament will mark the last time Quebec plays at what is now Le Colisee Pepsi, before moving to the new Le Centre Videotron.
