The Calgary Flames (28-23-8) are starving for a goal, having been shutout in back-to-back games. Things won't be any easier on Sunday when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes for their second game in 24 hours.

Today is the second and final meeting of the season and first encounter since the first month of the season when the Hurricanes earned a 4-2 win at the Saddledome on Oct. 24.

Calgary remains at 4-5-1 in its last ten games, having not scored a goal in almost 125 minutes. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes lost to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday and are 4-6-0 in their previous ten games.

    Conversation Starters

    • Who will be the first Flames player to score the team's first goal in two games?
    • Will Calgary play at both ends of the ice, not relying on their netminder to save the day again?
    • Could another shutout or blowout loss change the team's direction heading into the NHL trade deadline?
