Upper Deck comes up a bit short in 2024-25 Allure Hockey

Upper Deck was so close. So close! There was concern recently about key rookies having a small amount of hits in Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey.
Those concerns have been validated.
The latest installment of Allure Hockey released on Feb. 12, 2025 and retails for $115 USD per box. Each box contains eight packs with eight cards per. Each box contains one autograph or Doubloons insert (on average) along with two rare cards, eight base set rookies, 12 inserts, and eight parallels.
Upper Deck Allure Hockey is offered in 18 box master cases, each master case contains two, nine box inner cases.
Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey is a great volume product. Each box contains a combination of 30 hits, rare cards, rookies, and parallels. If you like opening packs and getting a bunch of hits, Allure Hockey if for you.

The Golden Treasures hunt from Upper Deck 2024-25 Hockey remains one of the best chases in the hobby. The affordability of Allure Hockey helps as well.

The rare 16-Bit insert from Allure Hockey has returned. Luck will need to be on your side as 16-Bits appear 1:720 packs.

Expressive Intentions are a new insert in Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey. If you thought pulling a 16-Bit was hard, the Expressive Intentions are twice as hard at 1:1440 packs.
Another positive is the increased year-over-year hit threshold. Blue Line /35 and Purple Diamond /10 parallels seem to pop out every other box. It is safe to assume the print run in smaller in Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey when comparing to 2023-24.
Upper Deck left behind some of the creativity that made Upper Deck 2023-24 Allure Hockey a solid product. Parallels such as Pink Lemonade and Hypnosis were not featured in the latest installment of Allure Hockey.
Memorabilia cards have been removed for Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey.
As mentioned recently, key rookies are considered "Extended Rookies," meaning they have limited hits in Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey. Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and Matvei Michkov have just three parallels to chase; base extended series rookie, Black Rainbow extended series rookie, and Red Rainbow autographs.
This is becoming a reoccurring theme of Upper Deck 2024-25 Hockey products.
WE WANT MORE CELEBRINI!
Celebrini is the face of a solid 2024-25 hockey card class. His cards need to be featured as such. That is the main reason for Upper Deck 2024-25 Black Diamond's success.

Upper Deck Hockey continues to have one glaring issue with recent Hockey releases. Synergy and Allure Hockey share the commonality of not featuring prominent rookies. Artifacts has issues with redemptions. Clear Cut Hockey has issues with return on investment.
Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey scored a 5.7 on Gawlik's scale. This score could have easily hit seven or better if Celebrini, Smith, and Michkov had a standard assortment of hits.
The price per box is respectable for the hits offered. Allure Hockey has traditionally been a product that declines in retail value not long after release, it will be interesting to see if that tradition continues due to the lack of rookies.
As long as you are happy with chasing key rookies such as Lane Hutson and Logan Stankoven, you will enjoy Upper Deck 2024-25 Allure Hockey. If you are hoping for more Celebrini, Smith, and Michkov; wait for Upper Deck 2024-25 O Pee Chee hockey next week.
Happy hunting and collecting!
