Stars look to end ten-game skid when traveling to face Utah team they've beat in four of their five all-time matchups.

The Dallas Stars aim to snap a troubling slump, having dropped eight of their last ten games, when they face the surging Utah Mammoth, who have posted a 9-5-1 record over their last 15 contests. Dallas will be looking to finish their extended road trip on a high note, while Utah hopes to maintain their momentum and solidify their hold on the top wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Historically, Dallas has had the upper hand against Utah, winning four of their five meetings, with their only defeat coming at home late last season. The Stars have yet to lose in Salt Lake City and will be eager to continue that streak, though several players will need to elevate their performance.

Dallas’ defense has struggled during their recent slide, allowing an average of 3.50 goals per game and conceding 35 goals over their past ten outings. Their offense, meanwhile, has kept pace reasonably well, averaging 2.8 goals per game with 28 total goals scored.

They’ll need that scoring consistency to match up against a Utah team that has found its offensive rhythm in the new year, tallying 26 goals in their last seven games. All signs point to a closely contested, high-stakes matchup between two teams vying for playoff positioning.
