The ECHL has announced its Goal of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
This year’s honor goes to South Carolina Stingrays 'forward Ryan Hofer, who scored a highlight reel goal during the 2024-25 season.
In the second period against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Mar. 12, Hofer forced a turnover deep in the attacking zone and dangled between the legs to find the back of the net in a 5-1 win over the Swamp Rabbits.
“I’m super grateful and honored to be chosen for ECHL Goal of the Year,” Hofer stated. ”I wasn’t going out there looking for a goal of the year candidate, but being able to go out there and pull off a move like that in a game then be awarded for it is a really cool feeling.”
