In our ECHL Roundup, the All-Star Classic has its coaches, weekly league honors were dished out, and a flurry of moves hit the wires as the holiday freeze lifted.

Coaches Named for All-Star Classic

The ECHL announced on Wednesday that Everett Sheen of the Idaho Steelheads and Andrew Lord of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits have earned the right serve as the coaches for the 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic.

Stanley Cup Heads to All-Star Classic

Lord Stanley’s Cup™, the revered 131-year-old trophy awarded to the Stanley Cup® Champion, will make a special visit to Savannah for the Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Gulfstream¸ the ECHL announced in conjunction with the Savannah Ghost Pirates.

The trophy will be on display at several locations during the event, including at Fan Fest on Sunday, January 14 and the ECHL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and All-Star Game on Monday, January 15, with both events taking place at Enmarket Arena.

It will also make several other stops to historic locations around Savannah. The Stanley Cup® will be joined by the ECHL’s Kelly Cup and available for viewing and pictures as part of the events.

The Cup is always accompanied by at least one representative of the Hockey Hall of Fame, dubbed the “Keeper of the Cup,” who will be onsite to interact with fans and answer questions about sports’ most prized trophy.

The 2024 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Gulfstream will take place on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Enmarket Arena.

Murray and Ellis Earn Weekly League Honors

Blake Murray of the Allen Americans is the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 18-23, while Colten Ellis of the Orlando Solar Bears is the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the same period.
