A pre-game party on Opening Weekend, Women's Sports Night and Hockey Fights Cancer highlight the Mariners' theme nights this season.
The Maine Mariners kick off their sixth season of hockey on Friday, October 18, and the club has released its schedule of theme nights for all 36 home games for 2024-25.
The season starts off with "Mariner Mayhem" on Opening Weekend against the Wheeling Nailers October 18 and 19. Friday's home opener, presented by Evergreen Credit Union, features a magnet schedule giveaway presented by Portland North Dental, pre-game block party on Center St. Saturday afternoon, and a post-game full-team autograph session following the Saturday game in the Saco & Biddeford Savings Hall of Fame Lounge.
"We can't wait for the season to get started and opening weekend is certainly reason to celebrate," Mariners president Adam Goldberg said following the schedule release. "We have 36 home games, but these first couple games always feel different after a long offseason. It will be exciting to see the players hit the ice and happy to have an early season autograph session where fans can get to know the new faces. There is just nothing better than going to a hockey game in Maine."
The following weekend features the first Three Dollar Deweys "Threekend" of the season against the Norfolk Admirals and Worcester Railers. It also happens to be Halloweekend", which concludes with Affiliation Day on Sunday, October 27, which will be the on-ice debut of the new alternate jerseys.
