    Aaron Dell, ex-Americans & Grizzlies Goalie, Released from Blue Jackets Pro Tryout

    Aaron Dell's quest for an NHL contract will continue, as it was announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have released the veteran goaltender from his PTO with the club. 

    Dell, 34, most recently bounced between the NHL's San Jose Sharks and their AHL affiliate San Jose Barracuda last season. 

    A veteran of 130 NHL games, Dell has suited up for the New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres between two separate stints with the Sharks.

    A product of the University of North Dakota, Dell played 29 games in the ECHL for the Utah Grizzlies in the 2012-13 season, finishing with a solid 2.14 GAA and .920 save percentage, with a 1.92 GAA and .913 save percentage in three playoff games.

    He would backstop the Allen Americans for 12 games in the 2014-15 season, finishing with 2.84 GAA and .902 save percentage.
