The club pushed their win streak to 12 games with a 4-0 shutout of the Newfoundland Growlers on home ice Friday night, moving into first place in the ECHL in the process.
Jeremy Brodeur posted a 35-save shutout in the effort. The 27-year-old pushed his record to 13-5 through 18 games with a strong 2.29 GAA and .928 SP with two shutouts.
Shane Harper opened the scoring at 12:30 of the first period, with Ryan Smith, Tristan Thompson and Travis Broughman adding goals in the dominant 4-0 victory.
The Thunder pushed their overall record to 28-8-2-1 with a home record of 12-5-2-1 and a +30 GF/GA differential.
